MASERU – A telecommunications giant, Econet Telecom Lesotho, unveiled a refurbished and easy to navigate website with a new look and features that makes visiting easier.
The website also offers more interactive experience while serving as a one-stop-shop for Econet services.
The new website, which is available on the URL www.etl.co.ls, provides viewers with all the information they need about Econet, its values, products and services, current management, corporate social initiatives as well as information on its social impact organisation, HigherLife Foundation Lesotho.
Econet’s Chief Executive Officer, Dennis Plaatjies, said that the company revamped its website to ensure easy access and give pleasant browsing experience especially now when movement is restricted due to the prevailing pandemic.
“Our plan is to provide our customers with a fast, easy to navigate experience from the comfort of their homes hence the revamped website that conforms with the Econet brand,” Plaatjies said.
Plaatjies said the new website will soon be integrated with the company’s in-house EcoCash system thus allowing online payments where customers can send and receive money, buy airtime and bundles and pay bills as well as insurance premiums the same way they do on their mobile phones.
“Thanks to digital transformation and system convergence, our customers will do more than browsing on our website,” Plaatjies added.
One other exciting feature is the access to online assistance through Econet live chat where all customer enquiries are addressed by online contact centre agents.
The website also provides access to online applications for Econet data contracts thus saving customers from incurring travelling costs.
It provides easy navigation through available product offers and handsets promotions, jobs and tenders and latest company news.
Product pages have been updated with a list of voice, data, contracts, value added services and all the tariffs.
This freshly designed website is divided into two sections to enable a hassle-free access by individuals and businesses while addressing personal and business customer needs.
Customers have a holistic view about the company and its operations.
Now, users can avoid congested roads and border posts by easily clicking on the live traffic cameras on the website.
They can plan their travel through Maseru, Maputsoe and Van Rooyen’s border posts as well as Lekhaloaneng, Lakeside, Hillsview and Maseru main traffic circle roads.
The website is accessible from home, office or on the go through desktops, laptops and is responsive on mobile handsets.
