The voting for the African Most Valuable Player (MVP) in Spain’s LaLiga is open and the fans will have the chance to vote for the player of their choice.

Last year’s inaugural LaLiga Santander African MVP award was won by Yassine ‘Bono’ Bounou who underlined his star quality and world-class ability with a superb showing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup where he played a huge role in Morocco’s remarkable run to becoming the first African team to reach the tournament’s semi-final stage.

There are several contenders for this year’s award and the player with the most votes will be crowned the best African player in Spain’s elite league for the 2022/23 season.

Athletic Club Bilbao striker Iñaki Williams is one of the favourites having won the LaLiga Santander Mid-Season African MVP Award in January, however, there is no guarantee the Ghanaian will win the end of season grand prize.

Williams is one of the most influential players for the Basque club.

Before he was ruled out with an injury in January, Williams had featured in a record 251 consecutive league games for Athletic Bilbao spanning 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
