MASERU – ALLIANCE Insurance is now offering free marriage counselling services as part of its legal cost assistance.

The company launched the legal assistance cost yesterday.

Head of Retail at Alliance, Lekhooa Montši, said this is an improvement on the Alliance Legal (Thebe ea Basotho) that was launched in 2019.

“Alliance Legal was born to give Basotho solutions in the legal field,” Montši said.

He said they help their members with all court cases and other legal issues.

Montši said Alliance Insurance is the first insurance company to have bail benefits and they have increased their bail cover up to M5 000.

“Our members raised an issue of marriage counselling as we cover divorce cases and we improved Alliance Legal and now we offer free marriage counselling to our clients,” he said.

He said marriage counselling is necessary and not only needed when people are trying to fix their marriages.

But even when they are still happy they could go for marriage counselling to keep their marriage happy.

Now they have increased their accidental death cover from M7 500 to M10 000.

Montši said Basotho should be aware that if one has joined more than one insurance, and they have insured their car and get into an accident, Alliance Insurance meets with the other insurance company and combine the money to buy one car for the person because a car has value.

Montši said they do not cover fines but only pay legal expenses and allow their clients to choose the lawyer they want.

“For us to cover divorce cases, one has to be our client for at least a year,” Montši said.
