Mlongeni wins VW Polo Vivo

MASERU – MOTSAMAI Mlongeni won a VW Polo Vivo in the VIB Mobile’s “I Love my Lesotho Trivia SMS Game”.

The handover ceremony was held at the Pioneer Mall on Saturday.

VIB Mobile is a vendor for Mobile Network Operators in Africa with offices in several countries.

Its office in Maseru provides customers, both corporate and non-corporate, with value added services.

VIB Mobile is offering people countrywide an opportunity to win a brand new VW Polo Vivo and a share of up to M50 000 every week and M200 airtime every Monday and Wednesday through an SMS competition called the “I Love My Lesotho Trivia SMS Game.”

Mlongeni, an IT Infrastructure Manager at Computer Business Solution, has however advised people who enter competitions not to give them their all lest they get disappointed.

“I first knew about this game last year when VIB Mobile gave away a brand new Toyota Hilux” Mlongeni said.

“But I did not immediately enter the competition because I was a bit sceptical,” he said.

“I only started playing this year and it took me roughly six weeks to accumulate enough points to be eligible for the grand prize.”

“My advice for others who want to play this game is that they should be cautious of how they spend their money. We should not be using money with other purposes in life in order to enter the competition because chances are you will be very disappointed if you don’t win.”

Thuto Makhera, the VIB Mobile sales and marketing executive, said the competition was meant to stir up the spirit of patriotism in the country.

“The purpose of the competition was to evoke a patriotic spirit amongst Basotho so that we can be proud of who we are, our food as well our culture,” Makhera said.

To enter the competition, all you need to do is SMS “Lesotho” to the short code “38080” and follow the steps.

The aim is to accumulate as many points as possible by answering Trivia questions about Lesotho so that one can be chosen as a winner for the final draw.
