MASERU – NEDBANK Lesotho on Tuesday launched new private banking and middle market (Savvy Plus) products as part of the bank’s programme to remain competitive in the Lesotho market. Nedbank Lesotho Managing Director, PJ Bouwer, said the private banking bundle product had been received very well by the targeted customers.
Bouwer said the Savvy Plus offering will be launched later this month.
He said the launch of the two products is part of the bank’s strategic drive to make the recent brand repositioning change and system upgrade relevant to existing customer’s needs while also attracting new customers. “We are pleased to bring these new bundled products that offer value for money for our clients while simplifying their banking by also providing alternative electronic and self-service banking solutions,” he said.
Bouwer said customers will now have free transactions at ATMs, Point of Sales (POS) and internet banking within these bundles for a one-monthly price.
“With these new offerings and lots more to come, the year ahead is going to be an exciting one for Nedbank, its customers and the Lesotho market” he said.
Head of Sales at Nedbank, Teboho Shelile, said the launch of the products was in response to their clients’ needs. “We will continue to reduce the cost for Basotho wherever possible,” he said.
Shelile also said it is in their best interest to improve the country’s economy and implement some of the agenda in the National Development Strategic Plan (NDSP), especially when it comes to financial inclusion.
