MOKHOTLONG – ONE must play and pray and leave the rest to God. That is the message from 74-year-old Mathi Mosaase from Salang in Mokhotlong who walked away with the M100 000 prize in the Matsebetsebe Share a Million Promotion this month. Mosaase told thepost that when he entered the Matsebetsebe Share a Million Promotion, he prayed to be one of the daily M5 000 cash winners. He says God heard his prayers and multiplied that amount by 20.
Mosaase says despite winning the prize, he has not stopped playing because he can see that it is possible to win when one plays and prays. Econet last month revamped the on-going Matsebetsebe cash explosion promotion into the Matsebetsebe Share a Million and increased the winning stakes from M50 000 per month to M200 000 at the end of the campaign.
Mosaase joins other customers whom Econet has positively impacted their lives through the Matsebetsebe campaign including the daily winners of 4 Kwese kits and M5 000 cash prizes.
He plans to extend his rooms for rental as part of his retirement investment.
Econet’s Chief Commercial Officer, Maurice Newa, said Econet will continue to empower its customers by creating such amazing platforms like Matsebetsebe to touch and enrich its customers for their constant support. “Mosaase is living proof that anyone who enters this competition has the chance to win these great cash prizes and Kwese TV kits,” Newa said. “All it takes is to recharge, cash-in and play Matsebetsebe. The more you do these, the more your chances of winning,” she said.
Under Matsebetsebe Share a Million, Econet customers can win Kwese TV kits and cash through recharges, SMSes and EcoCash deposits. There are three ways of entering the Matsebetsebe Share a Million and qualify for the draws. Customers need to send the word ‘Econet’ to 65100 and play a trivia question and answer game. For every correct answer, a customer collects 10 points and 5 points for a wrong answer.
The points are the customer’s entry into the draw and the more one plays, the more their chances of winning. Each SMS costs M1.00. Secondly, customers can qualify for the draw by recharging airtime onto their phones. Every M10 recharge gives one point and the more one recharges the more the chances of winning (except for airtime transfer).
The promotion is open to all Econet’s prepaid customers. The draw for the second star prize of M150 000 will be held on September 8, 2017.
