RETRACTION

In our last week’s story titled “Top spies up for fraud,” (March 23 – 29) we wrongly stated that Mohlolo Lerotholi, the Commissioner of Refugees, was the Director General of the National Security Service (NSS) in January 2016.

In addition to incorrectly saying that Lerotholi requested the then Principal Secretary for Defence to hire 50 intelligence officers, we also published his picture alongside the article.

Neither his name nor picture should have been associated with the article. The error is regretted and we apologise to Lerotholi for the inconvenience.
