Eureka!
Muckraker now knows why Kabi led the ABC to an embarrassing defeat last year.
He told supporters at the rally in Qeme on Sunday that he once fought with Mohapi Mohapinyane, the former Rothe MP.
The fight happened at the height of the ABC squabbles.
Kabi said Mohapinyane deliberately tripped him and he fell after he told the Moeketsi Majoro-led government to obey Thomas Thabane’s orders.
Kabi said Mohapinyane then sat on his chest but he retaliated by grabbing his neck.
“I only let loose my grip on his neck when I felt that he was having difficulty breathing,” he said.
At that moment a theory to explain the ABC’s defeat started forming in Muckraker’s mind.
Maybe, just maybe, Kabi hit his head on a hard surface when he fell.
Maybe, just maybe, Mohapinyane landed a strong blow on Kabi’s head.
It is possible that either the hard surface or Mohapinyane blew or both loosened some screws in Kabi’s head and he was never the same after that.
Muckraker refuses to believe that there is no other explanation for the shoddy and inept campaign he ran.
A Kabi with all screws in the head would not have hobnobbed with the notorious famo music gangsters when they were causing havoc in our villages.
He fastened those gangsters to the ABC’s neck even when his supporters were disgusted.
The old Kabi with all head screws in place would not have associated with Uncle Tom and his motor-mouth wife. He would have instantly become his own man instead of jumping into Uncle
Tom’s pockets and trying to fatten his political fortunes by munching on Uncle Tom’s tarnished legacy.
He would not have engaged in a bare-knuckle fight with Mr Softie when he desperately needed state resources to curry favour with voters and travel to rallies.
There is evidence that his screws are getting back in place. He has been making the right noises about unifying the party and bringing back some members who jumped the sinking ship. That’s good.
But you can still see that he is yet to fully recover.
His recent pointless rally in South Africa was a flop.
He should not have wasted his time and money on that rally because the answers to his political problems are here.
The ABC lost because it was deserted by its supporters in Lesotho, not across the border. Any other activity that doesn’t deal with voters in Lesotho is just unnecessary drama contrived to confuse activity for progress.
Nka! Ichuuuuuuuuuuu!
